Allan Ziegler, Major

Major Al Ziegler was a CH-46 pilot in the Marine Corps, having served with current Old Breed stalwart Jon “Jake” Jacobs. Al played All-Marine rugby amongst other squads

Al was amongst the first group of CH-46 pilots to be selected to the MV-22 Osprey aircraft.

Major Ziegler succumbed to an infectious lung disease just after September 11, 2001.

He is survived by his wife Denise and daughter Abigail.
