A Rugby Club with a Higher Purpose

Our mission is to fund the permanent endowment of the Old Breed Rugby Scholarship. This scholarship is administered by the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. In 2024, the Old Breed Rugby Scholarship is in honor of our teammate Lieutenant Colonel Kevin M. Shea.

LtCol Shea was a revered Marine, father and rugby player/coach. Just before Kevin deployed to Iraq in 2004, he had served as an assistant coach to the US Naval Academy rugby team. LtCol Shea was killed September 14, 2004, his birthday in Iraq. Our fundraising and awareness efforts are meant to celebrate this great man and ensure his memory and the memory of all our Fallen teammates is never forgotten.
