Keith Takabayashi, Major

Major Keith Takabayashi was born in Hawaii, moving to the mainland and graduating from Foothill High School in Orange, CA. He was a standout football player at Foothill going on to attend the United States Naval Academy. Keith would eventually graduate from UCLA and then commission into the Marine Corps.

Nagel assures me he was a standout on all of the 47 military championships the Ghostriders won in the 90s.

Keith’s father had the following to say about his son, as reported in The Los Angeles Times, following Keith’s death

“He was a very spirited, intense person. When he wanted to do something, he would go after it with full gusto,” the grieving father said. “He was very caring. . . . He was pretty special.”

He said his son was close to launching his own business, a Web site about education that would give high school students information about colleges.
