Joshua Stone, Staff Sergeant

On Monday, February 6, 2017, SSgt Joshua Charles Stone passed away at the age of 34 years. 

Joshua entered the Marine Corps on 22 October 2001 and began his career as a 6492 Precision Calibration Electronics Specialist for Helicopters. He became a 0241 Imagery Analyst Specialist, had taught school at the Tactical Imagery Analysis Course (TIAC), and was pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Strategic Intelligence (BSSI) while attending the National Intelligence University at the Defense Intelligence Agency.

When Joshua taught his MOS, he was assigned to the Marine Detachment at Ft. Belvoir. He was also assigned to the III MEF Watch when he was in Oki. Joshua was a Black Belt Martial Arts Instructor with the MCMAP (Marine Corps Martial Arts Program), and was also an All Marine and All Inter Service Rugby player. 

Joshua is survived by his beautiful daughters, Abby and Gracie Stone, his parents John and Sandra Stone, and his brother Jordan Stone. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.
