Cap Pelletier, Gunnery Sergeant
January 5, 1947-June 6, 2007
Cap Pelletier, beloved son, husband, father, and most of all grandpop, was born January 5, 1947, and died unexpectedly on June 6, 2007, from complications from gastric bypass surgery.
He leaves behind his wife Barbara, two sons, Bryn and Owyn, stepson Scott, daughters-in-law Maura, Didi, and Bo, and nine grandchildren that were the joy of his life; Cody, Alexa, Cyruss, Jackie, Kaylynn, Conner, Jeremey, Owyn, and Kyle.
He was a 20 year retired Marine with various honors. After retirement, Cap went on to National University and graduated Magun Cum Laude with an MBA in Executive Computing degrees.
He has been very active in the Rugby World since his Military days. The Rugby crowd will fondly remember Cap for many contributions and remember him walking the Rugby Fields wearing his hat with the hundreds of rugby pins from all over the world.
He was also very active as a Vitas Hospice volunteer and has been acknowledged as Volunteer of the Year.
Cap always went above and beyond what was expected and really took a personal interest in all his endeavors.
He also was very supportive with his wife and her hobby of singing with the San Diego Sweet Adelines and after every competition would be waiting at the airport with some of the grandkids handing out carnations to each lady as they got off the plane. He will be missed by many people.
GySgt Pelletier is interred at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, CA.T
